A free legal advice clinic run by the London School of Economics and Political Science recognized McGuireWoods London associate Adam Penman for his guidance of law students who staff the organization.
The LSE Legal Advice Centre honored Penman with the “Outstanding Support from a Supervisor” award at a celebration on March 26, 2026. The award celebrates supervisors who go above and beyond in supporting aspiring legal professionals while advancing access to justice.
Penman, who works in the firm’s Labor and Employment Department, was nominated by students who highlighted Penman’s ability to make complex legal concepts clear and accessible. The students wrote that Penman’s thoughtful and constructive feedback on drafting and client communication was “invaluable,” inspiring confidence and helping shape practical skills essential for a future legal career.
The nomination also emphasized Penman’s unwavering dedication to the students and the broader mission of pro bono work, exemplifying the highest standards of supervision, combining technical knowledge with encouragement and mentorship.
“This award is a testament to the meaningful difference Adam has made in the clinic,” said Daniel Peyton, the London office managing partner. “We congratulate him on this well-deserved accolade.”
