The American Bar Association Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service recently recognized McGuireWoods’ dedication to pro bono service through the firm’s participation in ABA Free Legal Answers, a virtual legal advice portal.
Now in its eighth year, ABA Free Legal Answers has responded to more than 330,000 civil legal questions users submitted to the nearly 13,500 participating pro bono attorneys from 43 jurisdictions.
Fifteen McGuireWoods lawyers contributed more than 150 hours answering 78 of those civil legal questions in 2023. In a Jan. 31, 2024, letter, standing committee chair Henry Su said, “Their generous volunteership has been integral to this success, and we appreciate McGuireWoods’ ongoing commitment to the program.”
